Update (12/17 2:45pm): Amazon Lightning Deal! Belkin Charge and Sync Dock with Lightning Cable for $13.65 Prime shipped (Reg. $25).
(Update 5/19 10:30am): The time has come. Apple has randomly announced a new Lightning dock for iPhone 6/Plus. However, you should still take a look at the numerous third party options (below) that have been on the market for years. Many of these options offer more styling and better value compared to Apple’s dock.
If you were one of over 4 million people who preordered an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus this weekend, then you may have noticed that one of Apple’s most popular accessories for previous gen iPhones is curiously absent from its online store. As of right now, Apple seems to be sitting on the sideline and will not be releasing a dock designed for its newest smartphones.
Docks position your iPhone in a way that makes it easier to keep tabs on incoming notifications, all while helping create a clean workspace by wrangling messy cables.
There are already several iPhone 6 and 6 Plus dock solutions. Here are our favorite docks, stands, mounts, and more:
Twelve South HiRise (also supports iPad mini) $34.99 – Our top-pick.
- HiRise height-adjusting cable clips and movable rear support allows HiRise to work with most cases on the market today – especially those with recessed connections that no other dock can fit.
- Having your iPhone 5, iPhone 6, or iPad mini elevated by HiRise means you can Face Time or Skype hands-free.

Terrible. Only two of them are practical but both way overpriced. Someone needs to step up and manufacture the sort of iPhone 6 dock Apple would have (i.e. similar to their older docks).
Closest one I could find looks like an Apple product but it’s wide enough to accommodate both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which is a big NO-NO because it leaves room for error and means you have to put in some effort to make sure you place your phone right in the center.
This is so annoying. Last time I buy Apple.
The belkin dock looks like it will work on the 6 or 6plus, has anyone tried it?
Belkin says its NOT compatible, but I suspect the person I spoke with is wrong?????
Absolutely works. I have this dock and have been using it with my 5S for a while. It’s got a wide opening that supports a bulky case too.
I would go with what the company says. I had a iPhone 5 Rokdock from Rokform. Had to buy a new one for the iPhone 6 since it was too big of a phone. It’s one of the only Made in the USA aluminum docks I could find that was high quality. The thing weights 2 pounds so it doesn’t lift and it came with a branded lightning cable http://www.rokform.com/iphone-6-charging-docking-station/
Plus I got the Arq for just $19 each and sarvi for $25
You should check out Sarvi Dock and Arq Dock. I have both from Kickstarter and they are great docks as well. In fact with Arq dock you can nest as many as you need back to back. I have 3 nested back to back with an iphone 6 plus, mini and air. Very cool
Got the black HiRise to match my black iPhone 6 Plus, and it looks and works great.
That’s a sweet combo, enjoy!
According to Elevation Lab support, their excellent dock will work with iPhone 6.

Nice, adding it to the post!
FŪZ designs has the duo dock which I’m using for both iPhone and ipad. You can charge two devices at once. And it works with devices with their case on. Even big ones like otter box
If you own the original Lightning Dock, from back when the iPhone 5 was released it will still work.
how so? the lightning dock for iphone 5 doesn’t even fit the 5 if you have a case on it. unless i’m thinking of a different dock…
it is still possible to see a apple dock which can be used with both iPhones and iPads at october event.Better to wait maybe this time it would be possible to use devices with cases
You totally forgot the best dock!! Everdock by FŪZ Designs. They have updated there adapters to suit new cables as they are released eg juices+ cables. Plus they supported there backers with free silicone adaptors for different case sizes. And yes you can charge your iPhone with cases on!!
Not available yet, but Revocharge on Kickstarter is making a magnetic case for 6/6+ that has a bunch of accessories including a magnetic wireless dock w/sync abilities, car dock, arm band, and belt clip and battery. Very cool project.
11 Days left
Already fully funded too; they are working on stretch goals now.
I have the case star and the arduro, bot great products at good prices.
So which of these actually support docking a phone in its case? I have to take my existing phone out of the case every night, which gets pretty old.
I have the HiRise now and it is adjustable to fit an iPhone with a case.
I use this one for $1.29, and it is the best:

I like your ingenuity!
Dock+ is adjustable for even the thickest cases. However, it’s one of those lightning accessories where my phone always tells me it may not be compatible (and then doesn’t charge the phone). Very frustrating.
HiRise is by Twelve South. Not Belkin.
Pretty sure the Belkin ChargeSync Dock would work as well.

Thanks. Typo on my part 😀 – I agree that the Belkin should work as well, but I haven’t found an official statement from them regarding iPhone 6/6 Plus compatibility.
I can report it does work with the i6+, just not with the Spigen case I got for it as the case makes the port on the phone too recessed to fit. Easy enough to pop it out, but hope Belkin will make a version specifically for the bigger i6+
Jeez, I can’t wait to get my own 3D printer.
Right!
Companies have charged consumers a lot less for complex products (which took hundreds of thousands of man hours to make), then comes along companies like Henge and ElevationLab who want to charge you $70+ for a piece of plastic with some weight, a few resistors and a USB cable. Yeah… NO. Just NO. Silly companies.
