Amazon offers $40 off Kindles, Fire TV and more w/ Prime membership purchases

Amazon is offering $40 off Kindle products with the purchase of a 1-year, $99 Prime membership. Products eligible for the discount include various Kindle e-readers like the Fire tablets, as well as Fire TV.

After adding an eligible product to your cart, you can add-on the Prime promo deal once you get to the ‘configure your device’ screen (step #7). Otherwise, you’ll find the $40 off Prime option directly under the “Add to Cart” button on the listing pages.

For those interested in the promo that already have a Prime membership, it will still work if you send the one year as gift (even to yourself as a renewal).

Along with the benefits that come with Prime membership including free two-day shipping, unlimited movie and TV streaming, over a million songs and more, the $40 off promo yields some of the lowest prices we’ve seen on certain model Amazon devices:

Limited time: Save $40 when you add Prime to your order. FREE Two-Day Shipping on millions of items, plus exclusive digital benefits to enjoy on your Fire tablet – unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows, access to over a million songs, unlimited photo storage, and more.

nothing but a dead link for the Amazon TV “http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_14166061824916&key=c1c7d488bb2df8a8b659d5d41634d304&libId=b0ab4c8d-7e73-4c59-9536-216f7d4778ed&loc=http%3A%2F%2F9to5toys.com%2Fpage%2F2%2F&v=1&out=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FFire-TV-streaming-media-player%2Fdp%2FB00CX5P8FC%2Fref%3Das_sl_pc_ss_til%3Ftag%3Dl0e7c-20%26linkCode%3Dw01%26linkId%3DTUIHYEV3HNORVEG6%26creativeASIN%3DB00CX5P8FC&ref=http%3A%2F%2F9to5toys.com%2F&title=9to5Toys%3A%20New%20Gear%2C%20reviews%20and%20deals&txt=%3Cstrong%3E%2459%3C%2Fstrong%3E%26nbsp%3Bshipped%20(Reg.%20%2499)”

Viglink domain sucks. Extremely unresponsive. Still trying to find the actual Prime deal. ugh.

Sorry you’re having troubles. Amazon will automatically deduct the discount from your total if you add Prime to any Kindle order.

“Amazon Prime (One Year Membership) is not available for you to purchase because you are either a Prime member or you are buying Prime with 1-Click ordering. Please delete this item to continue.”

I had to go back and check the box “this is a gift”… so I’m really hoping they will let me redeem my own gift when my Prime runs out in a few months. Bit of a gamble here 🙂
