Amazon offers the Brother HLL2300D Monochrome Laser Printer for $39.99 with free shipping, an all time low on this 4.5/5 star-rated printer.

If you only need a laser printer a few times a month to do financial stuff like me, this is a great thing to have because it is easy to hide away and the laser toner/ink lasts a long time between changes (vs. inkjets which can barely last 10 pages). It only connects via USB but you can make it Ethernet/wireless with a cheap print server. Features:

  • Prints Up To 27 ppm
  • Automatic Duplex Printing
  • 250 Sheet Capacity Paper Tray
  • High Speed USB 2.0 Interface
  • 1 Year Limited Warranty With Free Phone Support For The Life Of Your Machine

With your savings, grab some extra toner cartridges for $12.67/ea for generic and lots of other configs.

Nice how comments pointing out errors in the article get deleted, instead of fixing the errors.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Is there something I can help with?

I made a comment that ink and toner are not the same, which makes the rest of the article hard to take seriously, especially on a tech website. Somehow that comment is not showing up.

Tried to purchase this but I’m in Canada so no deal. They wanted $60 to ship it.

  3. Would hooking this up to an Airport Express work then? I have an extra lying around…

    “ink lasts forever”

Forever is a long time, Seth.

I am pretty sure that the ink does not last forever.
