New LEGO Kits: 1,000-piece US Capitol Building and a closer look at the upcoming Minecraft Fortress

LEGO’s latest Architecture kit is a 17-inch wide version of the US Capitol Building. Containing more than 1,000 pieces, the model features a removable dome in the middle to show off the rotunda and statues inside. It will hit store shelves come September 1st for $99.

LEGO released an interesting infographic comparing the model to the real thing. You can check that out above. And be sure to check out the rest of the LEGO architect line, as some kits start at around $28 or so.

Next up, we have a new look at the LEGO Minecraft Fortress set (The Fortress 21127). Much like previous Minecraft LEGO kits this one showcases more blocky figures as well as being entirely modular in nature. The fortress can be reconfigured in multiple ways. You can see the whole thing in action right here.

Based on this Facebook post, it will arrive on September 1st as well.

And be sure to take a look at the leaked Star Wars Rogue One LEGO kits.
