easyPlay keeps your pet active and happy even when you’re away from home

As much as we would like to, we can’t always be with our pets — and when we’re away from home we would like them to still be happy and active while they’re by themselves. Currently, you can find a toy called the easyPlay on Indigogo that attempts to tackle this problem. The robotic ball can play with your pet, reward them, track their activity, send live HD feed to you, and much more!

EasyPlay combines several entertainment options for you and your pet to take advantage of all wrapped up into one spherical package. The easyPlay ball can be remotely controlled from your iOS or Android device, or you can set it to roll around on its own to draw the attention of your pet. The top twists off and can be filled with treats, which can then be dispensed at a specific time or manually with the controls in the app. A user-recorded voice prompt is played when it’s time for treats, and your pet needs to actually roll the ball around to get the treats to dispense. This helps keep them active rather than just sitting next to the ball waiting for the next treat to be dispensed.

You can even keep an eye on your pet with the integrated 720P camera. You’ll be able to listen in or even talk to your pet with two-way audio support. Taking photos or videos of your pet via the app is easily done, promises the creators of easyPlay. Then from there, you can share your snaps to various social networks, or just watch your pet having fun while you’re somewhere else.

Your pet’s activity is tracked using a motion sensor on easyPlay. The total playtime and physical activity can be viewed in simple to read charts and visuals. On top of being able to view and track your cat or dog’s activity, easyPlay will send you notifications to your phone such as: treat dispensing times and activity levels. “The app keeps you aware of your furry friends well-being at all times.”

The Indiegogo campaign has just 21 days left to reach its $25,000 fundraising goal, and early backers have an opportunity to grab one at a pretty good discount. easyPlay is expected to retail for $249, however backers on the Indiegogo site can get in for only $99. Shipping is expected to happen in August of this year if all goes as planned.
