Target is about to serve up a couple of stellar Apple deals on a silver platter. Starting this Sunday, July 5th, Target will discount iPhone 6/Plus 16GB by $69, bringing prices down to $129.99 and $229.99 when purchased on a 2-year contract. Keep in mind availability may be hit or miss for this option since carriers are slowly putting it out to pasture.

Customers who buy Apple’s latest smartphones on an installment plan will get a free $150 gift card.

Also, iPad Air 2 16GB Wi-Fi in silver or gold will be on sale for $399. An additional 10% discount via Target’s Cartwheel app brings the price down even further to $359.10, which is nearly $140 below MSRP.

REDcard holders save an additional 5% on all deals.

All of this information has been gleaned from a leaked copy of Target’s upcoming weekly ad. As such, the final deals may vary when they go live. Head below for a full look at the leaked ad: expand full story

pebble-time

Update: The Pebble Time is now available to purchase from Best Buy and is coming to Target next month.

Pebble has a long-time friendship with Best Buy, and now the smartwatch maker is launching the first widespread availability of its new Pebble Time through the retailer. Available for $200, the standard 22mm non-steel version of the watch is now available for consumers to put their claim on red, black, and white models.

While the Kickstarter Edition just recently began shipping to those who backed the watch, those just now realizing that they would actually like a smartwatch that has a color e-paper display, more than 5 days of battery life, and cross-platform compatibility are in luck:

We recently reviewed the Pebble Time, saying that while it does have its upsides, it still feels stuck in the past compared to the currently-available Android Wear devices and the Apple Watch. Long battery life is nice, but the lack of a touch screen and sketchy compatibility with iOS hold the device back—especially at this price point.

Pixar changed the film industry forever when it released Toy Story back in 1995. And ever since then John Lasseter and crew have been releasing full-length animated films that push the limits of technology and storytelling. The incredible titles that Pixar has produced in such a short period of time is staggering: Toy Story, Up, Cars, Brave, and Monsters Inc. Just to name some of my favorites.

This Friday Pixar is releasing its next film called Inside Out. To mark this occasion iTunes is currently featuring a Pixar promotion that discounts every full-length Pixar movie as well as some apps and other goodies. Pixar/Disney movies rarely go on sale, especially on iTunes. If you’ve been meaning to fill out your movie collection now’s the time to do it. Each movie usually sells for $19.99:

Individual rentals are discounted as well. The Pixar Story is also on sale at iTunes for $14.99 and Google Play for $12.99, which I would highly recommend if you’re interested in learning more about Pixar Animation Studios. You should be able to sync any of these movies with Disney Movies Anywhere to watch them on nearly any device. expand full story

Over the weekend Apple added iPad mini 3 to its refurbished online store for the first time ever. So far only Wi-Fi models in Silver and Space Gray have been made available with prices starting at $339 for 16GB, a $60 drop from the regular price of $399. That’s in-line with other Apple refurbished prices, but you can buy a new iPad mini 3 right now for even less from Best Buy (ends today). expand full story

Apple’s 12-inch MacBook has been backordered since it was unveiled back in March. The Silver and Space Gray models have come in and out of stock a couple times, but the Gold model has been nearly impossible to nail down.

But right now MacMall has a range of models in-stock and available for shipment as soon as today including both standard configuration Gold models. What’s more, each model is $10 below Apple’s price and MacMall only charges sales tax at the time of purchase for buyers in a handful of states.

If you were to order those models right now from Apple.com it would take upwards of 5 weeks to receive your new Mac. Shipping times from other resellers aren’t much better: Best Buy shows 4-7 weeks, Amazon just says “This item has not yet been released,” and B&H just lists “coming soon.”

MacMall has gotten a couple MacBook inventory refreshes over the past few months, but they always sell out quickly.

The all-new 12-inch MacBook features an ultra-thin design, Force Touch, Retina display, and a reengineered keyboard. Not sure the new MacBook is for you? Take a minute to read our review. expand full story

Nearly 7 months after its original release date, iPad Air 2 has finally made its way to Apple’s online Refurbished Store. Prices start at $419 (Reg. $499) for a 16GB Wi-Fi model and go all the way up to $689 (Reg. $829) for a fully-loaded 128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model. As of right now there are a lot of different models available in each color (Gold, Silver, Space Gray), but that can change quickly as Apple’s refurbished inventory is extremely limited.

These are decent prices if you need an iPad Air 2 right now, but we regularly track better prices for brand new units: expand full story

Today, Apple announced new models with lower prices for its 27-inch iMac with 5K Retina display, bringing the cost down to $1,999.
