ThinkGeek announced the IRIS 9000 Voice Control Module for Apple iPhone 4S for $59.99. This iPhone dock is styled after HAL 9000, the psychotic AI from the film “2001: A Space Odyssey”, and allows you to access Siri from up to 50 feet away. It features a flickering HAL-like eye and remote. Though it’s not yet available for ordering, you can register on the product page to be notified when it becomes available.

Sure, we laugh about Siri being like HAL 9000 now, but who’ll be left to laugh once she starts cutting off our oxygen supply? Or slowly singing “Daisy”?! Will we find it funny once we all turn into starbabies?!
