PayPal’s official eBay store offers 20% off select iTunes Gift Cards with free email delivery: $100 for $80 or $50 for $40.
Use this discounted iTunes credit to save 20% on iOS apps, music, movies, books, and more. All gift cards will be emailed so you’ll be able to start downloading discounted iTunes media sooner rather than later: “In most cases, this will be within a few hours of purchase. However, in some cases it may take up to 24 hours.”

Fails. Still doesn’t work. “We were unable to process your request
Please try again. You may need to retry your checkout.”
That’s really bad – it only worked once I turned off two-factor, and then had to turn it back on again right after this. Stupid.
I tried to order today twice using both my Mac and iPad. Unsuccessful in both cases and I don’t have 2-factor activated, and I’m in the USA.
This was the same offer available shortly before Christmas and I was also unsuccessful ordering it then as well. Consequently after Christmas, I cancelled my eBay and PayPal accounts and received confirmation that I had done so. Today when I tried to order, I tried re-creating new accounts with the same email address I used in Dec and was informed an account with that email already existed.
I suspect this is a scam to boost numbers of accounts claimed by eBay and PayPal.
I wish Best Buy would offer discounted iTunes Gift Cards again. I had no trouble fulfilling my order when it was placed with Best Buy.
I’m sorry you’re having issues taking advantage of this deal. I agree with you that something is awry with it, but I do not think it’s deliberate from eBay/PayPal. We’ve run this deal several times now and this is the first time I’ve heard of any checkout issues. Also, we run eBay Daily Deals many times every week and never have any technical issues.
There is something a bit funky with this auction that’s causing some buyers trouble, but on the flip side thousands of the gift cards have been sold thus far so it is not completely broken.
We do see discounted iTune gift cards at Best Buy, but deals do not often hit the 20% mark like this one from eBay. It’s more common to see a 10% discount from Best Buy.
Again- sorry for any trouble, and I thank you for reading 9to5Toys.
People having that stupid issue with “We’re sorry, but we can’t send your payment right now”. After useless phone call with both PayPal and eBay tech support, I troubleshoot it myself.
1. Turn off 2 Steps Auth on Paypal
2. User your eBay phone and purchase the item.
3. REMEMBER!!!! To Turn ON 2 Steps on Paypal after you are done with purchase.
It fails with “try using a different payment method” from Mac and iPhone. I’ve never had 2FA enabled. My credit card information is current.
I encountered the same problem as others trying to purchase one on my mac. It wouldn’t let me on my mac, but it worked fine on my iPhone, so it’s still live as of 1:22 PM PST.
Doesn’t work – “We’re sorry, but we can’t send your payment right now”. And I’ve used PayPal for other stuff within the last week, so not that.
Some people have reported more success going through the iOS/Android app or mobile website. Give that a try if the desktop site isn’t working for you.
PayPal states they are not affiliated with the seller and are currently blocking all payments through this merchant. I tried to complete the payment and it was blocked by paypal.
Where/how did you contact PayPal?
Is this a scam? I logged into eBay went all the way through “confirm and pay” after logging into PayPal and I keep getting an error message that doesn’t allow me to complete the purchase. I called a few friends and they are having the same issue. Did we all just give away our logins and passwords?
It’s absolutely not a scam. PayPal is running this promotion in conjunction with eBay Daily Deals. The two companies have run the same promo in the past. Many of our readers have successfully purchased and redeemed today’s deal. Are you in the US?
