Slingbox connects to your cable box and then beams live and recorded TV content to your Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad or Android device. Not only is this a great way to get the most out of your expensive cable bill, but it’s also a good workaround to watching out-of-market sports games while traveling. Slingbox does not require any monthly fees, but the mobile apps aren’t cheap.
Sears has the entry-level Slingbox M1 on sale for $69.99 with free shipping. It carries a list price of $150, but usually sells for around $130. Sears also offers the top-of-the-line Slingbox 500 for $139.99 with in-store pickup, which is $160 below list and $110 better than its street price. Jumping up to the 500 series gains you HDMI connectivity (over composite) and an enhanced user interface. A full comparison of the two models can be found here.
