Star Wars Force Friday: new Lightsabers, LEGO sets, Nerf blasters, drones, deals and more

Update (9/4 1:50pm): We have now updated this post with more Force awakens sales and goodies…

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for a release on December 18th, but Disney is getting things jumped off months ahead of time with its new Star Wars holiday: Force Friday. Starting tonight at midnight, retailers all across the US will be opening their doors to put new Star Wars merchandise and toys on sale. Even Amazon, Target, Toys R Us and Walmart will be having sales online all throughout the day in celebration. Down below we have detailed some of the most interesting new Star Wars toys revealed, where to get them online and a list of sales through the weekend:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Bladebuilders Jedi Master Lightsabers: These sweet looking lightsabers are from Hasbro and allow users to mix and match various pieces to create more than 100 unique variations. The $49.99 Jedi Master Lightsaber kit includes a main lightsaber that lights up and makes sounds, plus two smaller light daggers and various connection pieces to put it all together in interesting ways. There will also other expansion packs available with themed hilts, connection pieces and more. They are available at both Amazon and Target.

New Star Wars: The Force Awakens LEGO sets: We have been expecting a series of new Force Awakens sets and now we have some details and pricing. The cream of the crop is clearly the new $150 Millennium Falcon seen above. It comes with several mini figures including Chewi, an aged Hans Solo and a BB-8 Astromech Droid. Other new sets include Poe’s X-Wing Fighter with 4 spring-loaded shooters for $79.99 and Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle with 6 mini figures for $119.99.

Nerf First Order Stormtrooper Deluxe Rifle: The new Stormtrooper rifle comes with slam-fire action, a detachable scope and stock, 12-darts and a clip to carry them to aid in your battle against the resistance. Better yet, it can fire up to 65 feet. It has a $39.95 suggested retail price but Amazon has it for $31.99 Prime shipped.

Millennium Falcom/X-Wing drones: Disney has teamed up with seasoned drone maker Air Hogs for a pair of new Star Wars themed flyers. There is a remote-controlled Millennium Falcon with 4 mini propellers and a paint job to fit the role. Both the Falcon and the larger X-Wing are made of “high density foam” so they will be able to handle the odd bump or two (/devastating crash in the living room). Amazon has the Millennium Falcon for $88 shipped and Target has best price on the Remote Control X-Wing Starfighter at $69.99.

Furbacca: This fuzzy little guy is what happens when you combine Chewbacca with a Furby. He hums famous tunes from Star wars movies, “plays virtual games” of some sort, and growls like Chewie. He’s available for $79.99 at Toys R Us.

You’ll also definitely want to check out the Sphero BB-8 Droid we detailed earlier. Trust me. And don’t forget about the Star Wars Legendary Jedi Master Yoda.

We are seeing a number of sales, and a many of the latest Force Awakens toys online today. Target is leading the pack with a few promo codes on just about everything Star Wars (that isn’t LEGO), offering many of the best prices around for Force Friday:
