Kodak recently announced its newest instant-print camera called the Mini Shot and make no mistake, this is not your run of the mill, old-fashioned Polaroid camera. It has built in Bluetooth connectivity so you can easily transfer photos back and forth to your smartphone and then also use it as a wireless printer. It even lets you aim, snap and print credit-card-sized photos right from the palm of your hand in 50 seconds or less.
The Kodak Mini Shot has only a 10MP lens and on the surface it looks and acts just like a regular point-and-shoot camera with basic controls. It has a 1.7-inch LCD for use as both a viewfinder and for looking at photos before they’re printed. When you take a peek at its printing capabilities and sharing options though, it’s enough to set this camera apart from other point-and-shoots of an era gone by. This little device opens up a whole new world of possibilities for instant photographers. This newest offering from Kodak is designed to print credit-card sized photos on adhesive-backed Kodak paper. This makes ideal for parties and weddings where getting a copy of each photo instantly is beneficial.
Even better, it supports both iOS and Android using the Kodak Mini Shot app that’s available from the App Store or Google Play. Also using the app, anyone’s smartphone can now be used as a remote shutter control for all those group shots at weddings or other events! Plus, you can use it to print an extended library of photos directly from your smartphone at lightning speeds. Once you have the Kodak app you can also add “flattering filters, funky borders and other creative flair” to pictures taken on the camera, right on your smartphone. Then, post directly to Facebook, Instagram or other social media sites. Or, you can print out some fast and colorful HD photographs in just 50 seconds flat. With up to 20 prints per charge this camera is sure to have you snapping and sharing in no time at weddings and parties alike.
