Recently, Buzz Aldrin has collaborated with Sprayground to give space fans a “Mission to Mars” wardrobe. The 87-year-old is one of the top space explorers, having famously become the second man to walk on the Moon during the historic 1969 spaceflight Apollo 11. The collection features pieces such as gloves, backpacks, a ball cap and a futuristic-looking parka. The products range from $20 for the gloves to $325 for the parka. The Shark Patches Parka is perfect for cooler weather and if you’re a fan of space, this jacket is a great option for you. This coat will keep you warm and stylish while snowboarding, skiing or for any snowy outings. It has a steep price-tag of $325, however, it should last for years to come.
Another must-have for winter weather are the Mars Shark Gloves. They feature touch screen sensitive fingertips, allowing you to use your phone in cool weather, all the while, keeping your hands warm and cozy. These gloves also feature a quote “Get Your a– to Mars” a catchphrase Aldrin adopted from the 1990 film “Total Recall”.
The “Mission to Mars” fashion line offers two backpacks. The Shark Patches Backpack offers multiple pockets, a laptop section inside (large enough for a 15-inch MacBook Pro) and separate pocket for small necessities. It’s also made with material that’s water-resistant.
The collection also features the Solar Panel Backpack which contains several solar panel strips. Better yet, this bag also has two USB ports and an external battery pack to connect your devices. The bag also features a buckled waist band so that your bag doesn’t float away from you when you’re in space, or at least imagining it.
“Teaming up with Buzz Aldrin to create this capsule was a dream come true, and the two of them are proud to present a line, a vibe, and a culture that isn’t limited by convention,” Sprayground said.
Lastly, the Mars Shark Hat has the quote “Mars Commander” across the front and on the side it says “Mars Cycler, Buzz Aldrins Next Giant Leap” on the side. It also has a longer flap in the back to keep your head warm and even has a small pocket with a zipper to keep money or an ID.
