Verizon is often touted as one of the more expensive wireless carriers around. But, during the holidays, the company can often offer some deep discounts on phones and more that are otherwise unheard of. While there likely won’t be any discount on its award-winning cellular service, we’ll see sales on some of this year’s hottest consumer electronics. Keep reading to find out how you can save during Verizon Black Friday.
WHEN IS BLACK FRIDAY AT VERIZON?
Black Friday started at Verizon last year on Thanksgiving Day, and we expect similar timing this year. Most of Verizon’s deals became available on Black Friday, but there were limited run sales on its FiOS service (and a few others) that were available starting Thanksgiving Day.
WILL VERIZON BE OPEN ON THANKSGIVING?
No, Verizon won’t be open on Thanksgiving. However, you should be able to start cashing in on some savings online with Verizon services.
WHEN WILL THE VERIZON BLACK FRIDAY AD BE RELEASED?
We didn’t get information regarding the Verizon Black Friday sales until November 21st, 2017. This was just three days before the official start of Black Friday, so it didn’t leave much time for preparation.
VERIZON FREE SHIPPING?
Verizon offers free shipping on a majority of its items. There’s also in-store pickup should you choose to fight the crowds this holiday season.
HOW TO SAVE AT VERIZON ON BLACK FRIDAY?
There are a few ways to save this year during Verizon Black Friday. Some savings last year required that you sign up for a different plan (upgrading to unlimited) or add a new line. That seems to be the trend with carriers these days and even followed Verizon to its latest Pixel 3/XL sale.
The other ways to save will be to shop online or in-store. There will be numerous discounts and deals across a variety of devices, but the details of that obviously won’t be known until the big day itself.
WILL VERIZON PRICE MATCH COMPETITORS ON BLACK FRIDAY?
No, Verizon does not normally price match competitors as they usually only offer carrier-exclusive deals.
WHAT WILL BE ON SALE AT VERIZON ON BLACK FRIDAY?
Last year we saw plenty of items on sale. From 50% off of phones like the then-new Pixel 2/XL, to Google’s Home for $80, Home Mini for $30, and the Chromecast Ultra for $55. Verizon still sells all of these, so we can expect the same or better discounts a year later.
In other sales, we saw the Nest sales, FitBit discounts, Bluetooth speaker blowouts, and more.
If last year’s discounts are any indication, we should see some great sales on Google’s latest Pixel device, Apple’s soon-to-be-announced iPad, smart home accessories, and more.
Verizon also discounted its Gigabit FiOS Triple Play to $80 per month (on a two-year agreement) with the added benefit of picking a new Google Home, Nest Thermostat E, or $100 Target Gift Card for free as an added sign-up bonus. We just saw a similar deal hit Verizon a few days ago, so expect to see a match or even more during Black Friday.
