B&H is now offering some notable deals for creative professionals and at-home content creators lon the latest Apple Mac Studio with M2 Max starting at $1,799 shipped. Regularly $1,999, this is a $200 price drop and a relatively rare one at that. This is the 12-Core CPU and 30-Core GPU model with 32GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD that will be ready for the new macOS 15 Sequoia when it becomes publicly available later this fall, and to upgrade your at-home studio with some extra power by way of Apple’s M2 Max and some serious GPU horsepower. Head below for more details.

As you’ll know from our launch coverage, this is the latest model that made its first debut with the M2 Max ship back in June of last year. But the main WWDC event has come and gone without an update, which leaves the existing Mac Studio as the best way to upgrade your music and, even more so, your Final Cut editing rig at home without completely breaking the bank on the higher-end models or the Mac Pro, both of which are however seeing notable price drops on B&H right now as well (down below).

The M2 Max Apple Mac Studio featured up top lands with Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.3, a UHS-II SDXC Card Reader, four Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports as well as HDMI, a pair of USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 jacks, and Gigabit Ethernet. This is a system, in many ways, designed specifically for content creators and video editors with support for up to 10 streams of 8K ProRes video playback alongside hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, and ProRes RAW encoding.

M2 Max Apple Mac Studio features:

  • 12-Core CPU
  • 30-Core GPU
  • 16-Core Neural Engine
  • 32GB unified memory
  • 512GB SSD storage
  • Front: Two USB-C ports, one SDXC card slot
  • Back: Four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, one HDMI port, one 10Gb Ethernet port, one 3.5
  • headphone jack
