Just a few days after I reviewed JBL’s new PartyBox 320, Amazon is now offering Samsung’s similarly-sized MX-ST50B 240W Sound Tower Speaker for $299.99 shipped. You can also grab it from Best Buy for the same price. While this speaker does sell for $698 at Amazon quite frequently ($700 at Samsung right now), it spends most of its time at $548. So even if we play it safe and use the lower price point there, you’re still looking at an impressive $248 in savings or 45% off. At Amazon, the best price we’ve ever seen for this speaker has been $290, but B&H did offer it one time for $248 a year ago. Keep on reading for more details and other deals like this one.
This tower speaker from Samsung offers 240W of bi-directional power to ensure you not only hear the music, but can also feel it. The internal battery lasts for up to 18 hours and an IPX5 weather-resistant design drastically reduces the risk of damage due to water or dust-related damage so you can enjoy using it without needing to think about that sort of thing too much. Other notable features include dual-microphone connectivity, Bluetooth multi-point, app support for controlling on-board RGB lighting, in addition to group play that paves the way for pairing “as many as 10 Samsung sound towers to create a powerful audio experience.” And just to give you an idea of its size, it stands more than 2 feet tall.
Don’t need a speaker quite that large? I hear you. It just so happens that Anker’s Soundcore Boom 2 Outdoor Speaker is down to $99.99 shipped. While not as big of a discount as Samsung’s offering above, you’re still looking at $30 off and a new all-time low. It offers 80W of power thats distributed between a 50W subwoofer and two 15W tweeters for 2.1-channel stereo audio. A built-in handle and RGB lighting are a couple of other notable features here.
