Apple’s official 96W USB-C Power Adapter carries a $79 list, and is now down at $36

There are certainly more affordable options than Apple when it comes to wall chargers – Anker is always a solid option, but some folks just must have the first-party options and there are ways to score a serious deal. Amazon is now offering the official Apple 96W USB-C Power Adapter down at $35.99 shipped. You’re looking at a regularly $79 Apple charger that is now seeing a deep 54% markdown to land within couple bucks of the lowest price we have ever tracked. While it has been trickling down in price lately, it’s had to deny the discount here either way if you’re going to take the Apple route. The 96W of juice on this model represents the second-most powerful option in the Apple arsenal with the 140W model fetching a steep $99 price tag at Amazon. 

Now, as we mentioned above, there are plenty of solid third-party brands out there with reliable wall chargers that deliver more outputs and lower prices, but even most of the latest releases from those brands that can reach 100W are relatively on par with today’s deal. 

Apple says its 96W USB-C Power Adapter delivers “fast, efficient charging at home, in the office, or on the go” via a single USB-C port that also works nicely  with the MAgSafe cable on the latest MacBooks.
