New 2024 razr+ for $999 or the unlocked 2023 model down at the $550 low ($450 off)?

While the new 2024 Motorola razr+ is set land stateside on July 10, it will cost you $999 when it does. But if you’re looking to land the, at least for a short time longer, reborn reigning king of the modern flip phones, the 2023 Motorola razr+ has now landed at a new all-time low via Woot at $549.99 Prime shipped (a $6 delivery fee will apply otherwise). This is still a regularly $999 smartphone that happens to now be on sale for $650 to usher in the 2024 model, but Woot just undercut everyone by an additional $100 with its unlocked listing. You’ll also find the streamlined, more entry-level unlocked 2023 Motorola razr with the smaller cover display still down at $449.99 shipped from the usual $700 in all colors right now as well.

We colloquailly dubbed the Motorola razr+ the “flip phone king reborn” after going hands-on. And while it will soon be superseded by a superior device, it remains a compelling solution, especially at roughly $450 off. While the Z Flip 5 (and likely the Z Flip 6) did impress me more than I expected, it is both a far more pricey option and has a touch less of the retro vibe to it for me. 

The 2023 razr+ really hits the spot in the flip-style foldable category. It delivers a 3.6-inch cover display with a 144Hz refresh rate to join the main 6.9-inch FHD+ panel on the inside alongside a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip at the heart of the operation.
