M4 is inbound on the MacBook Pro lineup, but that also means major savings on the still current-gen M3 machines starting from $1,299. But first, let’s go big time. For some folks the measly 18GB of RAM and that M3 Pro chip just isn’t enough. I’m not one of them, but if you are Amazon is offering a massive $600 in savings on Apple’s super high-end M3 Pro Max MacBook Pro today at $3,399 shipped. That’s not cheap by any means, but this is a $3,999 configuration loaded with 48GB of RAM back at the lowest price we have ever tracked. This model has only dropped this low a couple times before today in very quick one-day sales. This is also $100 under the discount price you’ll find at Best Buy right now.

Clearly this is not a configuration for everyone, to say the least. But we would be remiss not to at least shine some light on it considering the giant $600 price drop here. This beast has a 16-core CPU, 40-core GPU, 48GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD – it doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to Apple laptops right now.

Having said that, you’ll find some far more accessible and affordable M3 MacBook Pro configs with deep markdowns right now ahead of the new M4 machines that will be debuting at much higher price tags in roughly a month from now too:

M3 Pro Max MacBook Pro features:

The 16-inch MacBook Pro blasts forward with M3 Pro and M3 Max, radically advanced chips that bring massive performance and capabilities for the most extreme workflows. With industry-leading battery life—up to 22 hours—and a beautiful Liquid Retina XDR display, it’s a pro laptop without equal. Now in a new color: Space Black.
