Amazon is now offering the Hisense 85-inch Class U8 Series mini-LED ULED 4K UHD Google Smart TV down at $1,797.99 shipped. This 2024 release debuted in mid-May as one of the more premium models in the brand’s value-packed lineup of new smart TVs at $2,800. Today’s offer knocks over $1,000 off to slightly edge out the deal we are tracking over at Best Buy and land as a match for the Amazon all-time low. There are more affordable 85-inch Hisense smart TVs, like the 2024 U6 series that starts at $500 and has an 85-incher going for $1,498 right now, but the U8 steps it up in terms of specs and still undercuts the big brand name models.
This U8 Series mini-LED experience centers around an 85-inch 144Hz panel complete with full array local dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, HDR 10, and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG). It runs on the Google TV platform for direct access to all of your streaming services and apps alongside built-in Google Assistant voice command action and support for Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and Amazon Alexa gear.
On the gaming side of things, the 144Hz Game Mode Pro is at the ready as well as Variable Refresh Rate tech, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Auto Low Latency Mode, and Low Latency MEMC that “virtually eliminate screen tearing and controller input lag in your play.”
And as far as I/O goes, you’ll find Chromecast and Apple’s AirPlay 2 joined by four HDMI inputs (two HDMI 2.1), a pair of USB ports, and Bluetooth 5.3.
