Update: The new Beats Pill has dropped to $97.99 to undercut the Prime Day pricing. Details below in original post.

Just after seeing the first cash deal on the new Beats Solo Buds, Amazon is now offering the best price yet on the brand new Beats Pill portable speaker. Beats refreshed, updated, and re-launched its new Pill back in June when we went hands-on and said it’s “back and better than ever.” Today Amazon is offering the first notable deal on all three colors starting at $128.95 shipped. This is a regularly $150 Beats speaker that is now nearly 15% off. We are still seeing a bundle deal on the speaker with 2 years of Apple Care+, but that’s going to run you $159, or $9 above the MSRP of the speaker itself.

The new Beats Pill lands with that familiar form-factor with “powerful, room-filling sound” by way of a “bigger, bespoke racetrack woofer” alongside up to 24 hours of battery life and USB-C charging.

The unit has with an IP67 rating to safeguard it against dust and water joined by a removable lanyard and soft-grip silicone backing.

While it does deliver one-touch pairing on both Apple and Android devices, there are some interesting features at play here with iPhone and Apple Watch. Firstly, the new Beats Pill supports Apple Find My so you can track it down on your iPhone if you ever misplace it, but it also features iCloud pairing so you can “instantly pair with every device in your iCloud account” and iPhone/Apple Watch pairing that enable automatic audio hand-off to Apple Watch when you’re phone is out of range.

A complete in-depth rundown of this speaker is waiting in our hands-on review right here
