Retro game lovers can land the 2,646-piece LEGO NES set with playable Super Mario at a new $216 low (Reg. $270)

$54 off $216

LEGO is offering a rare chance to score some cash savings on its 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System set that is down at $215.99 shipped for LEGO Insiders (sign-up is free) through October 20, or as long as supplies last. Down from its $270 price tag, we haven’t seen much by way of sudden price cuts on this build, though Amazon has had it down at lower rates that usually keep between $250 and $262 on average. Before today, its launch price of $230 from 2020 held the mantle as the lowest tracked price, but it’s being beaten out here today with a solid $14 more in savings – giving you a new all-time low price for those who have simply signed up to be a LEGO Insider (again, it’s free). Plus, right now through October 20, LEGO is even offering twice the Insider points for any purchases.

Stacking up to 2,646 pieces, LEGO’s Nintendo Entertainment System set lets you rebuild and relive the nostalgia of one of the most famous consoles from the 80s/90s. You’ll not only be assembling the console with this kit but also a CRT TV, complete with a controller and Super Mario Bros. game cartridge. There are printed tiles here that let you recreate the iconic game into brick-built form, with a 16-bit Mario alongside super mushrooms, Goombas, and more. Aside from just looking the part, it also lets you play it too, with a small crank located on the TV’s side letting you scroll through the action of the original game while keeping the 16-bit Mario moving through it – and you can even add the Mario figure from other LEGO Nintendo kits into things for some added virtual functionality.

Back at the top of the month, we saw a large spread of new LEGO sets hit the market, with new and exciting builds for fans of Star Wars, Super Mario, Fortnite, and much more. There’s also some ongoing discounts on a selection of LEGO Animal Crossing sets that have stuck around longer than expected. You can get more of the latest news and discounts by heading to our LEGO hub, like the latest details on the LEGO Horizon Adventures video game (including its now open pre-orders) with all its sweet in-game bonuses, and more.

LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System set:

Authentic and interactive. The brick-built NES is packed with realistic details, including an opening slot for the Game Pak with a locking function and a controller with a connecting cable and plug. The console comes with a buildable retro TV, featuring a flat 8-bit Mario figure on the scrolling screen, plus an action brick to scan with interactive LEGO® Mario™ (figure not included; find in LEGO® Super Mario™ set 71439) so he reacts to the on-screen enemies, obstacles and power-ups just like in the Super Mario Bros. game.
