While we did see a very short-lived offer at Woot for $10 less, Amazon has now brought back its all-time low pricing on the new Fitbit Google Ace LTE kids smartwatch at $179.99 shipped. Regularly $230, this is a straight up $50 price drop matching the lowest we have tracked on Amazon and coming within $10 of the lowest price we have tracked all-time elsewhere.

As we have detailed extensively over at 9to5Google, this is might be a kids watch, but it is actually a serious piece of tech that can be safely and securely managed by parents.

Google says it delivers a “first-of-its-kind kids smartwatch” loaded with fitness tracking, calling, messaging, and GPS connectivity, activity-based games, and some fresh new updates that landed after release – Tap to Pay via the Greenlight or GoHenry debit cards with parental monitoring, school time access management, and Lunch Break (so it can only be used during recess when the kids are at school).

A complete rundown of the latest update is waiting for you right here and you’ll find a breakdown of the main feature set below:

  • Use the Fitbit Ace app to call, message, and send voice memos to kids and stay in touch when they’re out and about
  • School Time lets you limit gameplay on your kid’s watch during the day to help them focus
  • It’s full of movement-based games for every level; the more kids move, the farther they get through the game
  • Kids can keep the eejie’s house looking fresh and stay active with a new Noodle and activity challenges
  • Works with both Android and iPhone

Here’s our hands-on review for more details.
