Baseus is a brand that has quickly become one of the favorite budget-friendly solutions around here among both staffers and readers, especially when it comes to charging gear. While we are very much used to seeing these multi-device charging units implement additional Qi pads for expanded wireless charging capabilities, Baseus is taking a different approach here with a compact 5-in-1 solution that adds a single magnetic wireless charging pad to a more traditional USB-C charging station.
The integrated USB-C cable is retractable in nature – it, according to the brand, smoothly slides in and out of the device magnetically to keep things neat and tidy when not in use. Baseus says it has been tested for over 10,000 pulls “ensuring its durability and longevity, and can neatly retracts into the unit when not in use, helping to maintain a tidy workspace in both office and home settings.”
Another standout feature of this unit is the onboard display, something we have been seeing more and more on units like this (most notably on the latest Anker Prime power stations). This LCD screen showcases charging status in real time while “providing visual feedback on charging speed and power allocation of each port.”
