Say what you will about the Beats and Kim Kardashian branding, what we are really looking at here are some sweet new colors of the latest and greatest Beats Pill. All told, this is really just the same feature-packed speaker we came away impressed with after going hands-on, complete with all of the same design prowess and onboard tech as the standard issue models, just in a pair of sweet colorways – I’m a big fan of the sort of pale stone treatment on the light gray model.
As detailed in our review where we said the the iconic is “back and better than ever,” the familiar pill-shaped form-factor returns with an IP67 protection against dust and water alongside the built-in lanyard strap, and 24 hours of battery life (Apple’s Beats Fast Fuel action is in place here as well with a 10-minute charge adding another 2 hours of playback).
One-touch pairing joins iCloud pairing – “instantly pair with every device in your iCloud account” – alongside automatic audio handoff to Apple Watch when iPhone is out of range, and onboard Apple Find My tech.
