The ultra-affordable and family-friendly Galaxy Tab regularly carries a price tag at $220, but you can now land one down at $144.99 Prime shipped (a $6 delivery fee will apply otherwise). Currently down at $170 at Amazon, we saw it drop to $143 for the summer Prime Day event and $153 during the fall bonanza – today Woot is splitting the difference to deliver one of the best prices we have ever tracked.
For further comparison, the official Samsung site has this model on sale for the same $170 you’ll find at Amazon right now as part of its early Black Friday event – you can score an additional $70 off with a trade-in there, but Woot is otherwise offering the best price around right now.
The Galaxy Tab A9+ makes for one of the better casual and affordable tablet experience out there in the price range. Really the only other notable option that comes to mind in the sub $200 price range are the Amazon Fire models, which can also be a great option for couch browsing, road trips, a beater for around the house, or something the kids can enjoy, but they ain’t no Galaxy Tab.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip, the A9+ delivers an 11-inch 90Hz FHD+ display alongside a quad speaker array and a pair of color options (only the Graphite is on sale at Woot today though). Inside you’ll find a 7,040mAh battery as well as the usual expandable storage by way of an onboard microSD card slot.
