While we are still tracking all-time lows across just about every configuration in the lineup down below, Amazon has now dropped the 16GB/512GB M3 MacBook Air down to $1,099 shipped. Before Apple upgraded the lineup with 16GB of RAM on the base models, this configuration fetched $1,499 and now carries a list at $1,299. Today’s deal is $400 off the price you would have paid at Apple in early October and $200 under the new MSRP. Head below for more details and additional price drops across the lineup.

As mentioned above, we are tracking the base model 16GB/256GB down at the new $899 low – this one is also $400 off the original price, but if you’re looking to get into the 512GB storage range, today’s lead deal is where it’s at. For me the 256GB storage options are starting to feel like the under-powered 8GB of RAM setups did just over a month ago – it’s time Apple did away with these too if you ask me, and the 512GB is the next most affordable configuration as of right now.

While the rest of the Mac lineup – iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro – has now been upgraded with the latest M4 chip, the M3 MacBook Air, by all accounts, will remain the latest current-generation model in its lineup until spring 2025 when Apple is scheduled for a refresh at this point. That said it will also remain a solid computing experience well beyond that, complete with Apple Intelligence-ready specs and compatibility with several future macOS updates.

M3 MacBook Air features:

The M3 chip brings even greater capabilities to the superportable 13-inch MacBook Air. With up to 18 hours of battery life, you can take it anywhere and blaze through work and play. The blazing-fast MacBook Air with the M3 chip is a superportable laptop that sails through work and play. Apple Intelligence is the personal intelligence system that helps you write, express yourself, and get things done effortlessly. With groundbreaking privacy protections, it gives you peace of mind that no one else can access your data—not even Apple. Lightweight and under half an inch thin, so you can take MacBook Air anywhere you go.
