Best Buy announced it will be running weekly doorbusters every Friday this month, early access is now live to this week’s for Plus and Total members, and the deal on Apple’s newly upgraded 16GB M2 MacBook Air is live for everyone at Amazon. You’ll now find the M2 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and the 256GB internal SSD down at $749 shipped in all colors over at Amazon – this is the same deal you’ll find in the early access Best Buy Black Friday doorbusters today. We did spot this deal with limited color options last week, but now all of them are marked down to deliver the lowest price we have tracked on this model.
Today’s deal is in fact matching the best price we have seen to date on any of the Macs Apple recently upgraded to 16GB of RAM – for those unfamiliar, Apple is now delivering all base-model Macs with 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB without changing the price, and that includes the previous-generation MacBook Air with the M2 chip we are featuring here today.
This configuration on tap above as part of the early Black Friday doorbusters originally carried a $1,299 list price just last month before Apple upgraded to 16GB, and now fetches a $999 MSRP. That means you’re looking at $550 off the original MSRP and $250 off the going rate today.
The M2 MacBook Air is the previous-generation model, but it is still more than capable with an Apple Intelligence-ready design, the upgraded 16GB of RAM, and years worth of upcoming macOS updates on the slate.
