As part of the now live official 2024 Google Black Friday deals and the Amazon Black Friday Week Deals, we are now tracking a particularly rare chance to save on the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) at $39.99 shipped. Regularly $50, it is now seeing a solid 20% price drop to land at the lowest price we can find. This Black Friday deal is also the lowest we have tracked on Amazon all year.

Deals on the latest Chromecast with Google TV (4K) are rare at best – this is one piece of official Google kit that almost never goes on sale, but you will find the Black Friday deal now live at both Amazon and Best Buy. Just note, only the blue model is marked down at Amazon, while the Snow white model is seeing the 20% off discount over at Best Buy.

The 4K Chromecast streaming stick delivers live TV, in up to 4K HDR, and direct access to your streaming services on just about any display you connect it to. The home screen “displays movies and TV shows from all your services in one place” alongside “personal recommendations based on your subscriptions, viewing habits, and content you own.”

The included remote incudes a Google Assistant button that enables voice search alongside the usuals like the ability to control the volume, switch inputs, “play music, and get answers, hands-free.”

You can even “create a kids profile to access movies and shows for the family; pick a playful avatar and theme, set parental controls to restrict what streaming services are shown, limit watching time, and set a bedtime.”

If you’re not partial to the Google TV action here, the live Black Friday deals on Amazon’s Fire TV streaming sticks land at around half the price right now.

Chromecast with Google TV (4K) features:

  • Your home screen displays movies and TV shows from all your services in one place; get personal recommendations based on your subscriptions, viewing habits, and content you own
  • Press the Google Assistant[4] button on the remote and use voice search to find specific shows, or search by mood, genre, actress, and more; control the volume, switch inputs, play music, and get answers, hands-free
  • Chromecast is easy to install and compatible with almost any TV that has an HDMI port; to get started, just plug it into your TV’s HDMI port, connect to Wi-Fi, and start streaming[1]
