Airtags have been among my favorite and most purchased Apple products over the last few years. They are one of those rare items that solve a problem that people have, are easy to use, and just work. I throw one in every single one of my luggages, in my backpack, in my wallet, and even on my dog’s collar. Normally, they are $29 for a single or $99 for a four-pack (from Apple), but what if I said you could get one with a strap for just $2? Let me tell you how!
The $2 Airtag
So, how do you get this done? I do want to mention that this can only be done once (per email), but it will work to get you that $2 Airtag.
If you sign up for my favorite shopping portal (especially this time of year), Rakuten, you can earn a $40 refund after purchasing $40 or more at one of their affiliated retailers within the first 90 days of your account creation! And, of course, Apple just happens to be one of them!
So if you go to Apple’s site via Rakuten, you can purchase an AirTag and a Belkin holder strap for just $41.95 before taxes. Here is how to do this:
- Sign up for Rakuten using this link
- Once you are signed up, head to the search bar on the home page and look for Apple
- Tap the ‘Shop Now’ button to be redirected to the Apple Store
- Add one Airtag and the Belkin Secure Holder (Or any holder, this is just the cheapest one)
- Checkout via Apple store
- Receive $40 cash from Rakuten!
Again, this Rakuten offer is just for first time customers, so if you already have a Rakuten account and want to take advantage of this, then try using another email! THis is a fantastic way to get an Airtag for almost free, especially for those who have never owned one and want to see if they are worth it!
Other Airtag deals
Now, if you have already exhausted the Rakuten method, I do want to point out that Amazon currently has some of the best deals for Airtags, especially this time of year. As I mentioned above, the retail pricing for Airtags from Apple is $29 for a single and $99 for a 4-pack. But if you go through Amazon, those same Airtags are $24 for a single and $72 for a 4-pack! Bringing the per Airtag price down to just $18 if you get the 4-pack from Amazon. These are great as a stocking stuffer, a gift for someone at work, or even just a gift for yourself!
