While we are still seeing the 11-inch M2 iPad Air marked down to $499 at Amazon, folks looking to get a hold of the larger 13-inch variant are in luck. Amazon is now offering the most affordable 13-inch M2 iPad Air starting from $689 shipped. Regularly $799, this is a straight up $110 price drop and the best we can find anywhere in brand new condition.

Today’s deal lands at $10 under our previous mention to deliver one of the lowest prices we have tracked to date on this model.

It is also worth nothing that this 128GB configuration on the 13-inch model is still up at the full $799 on Best Buy – even its open-box listings are selling for more than the new list at Amazon.

The iPad Air can deliver some notable value, especially in the more affordable end of the lineup. It is a dramatically less pricey endeavor by comparison to the M4 iPad Pro lineup, and is significantly more powerful than the iPad mini 7 that isn’t really all that much less expensive (when the M2 Air is on sale anyway). While I might suggest it makes more sense to go for a less pricey M4 Pro than a spec’d out M2 Air, the more affordable models are typically more than enough for most users.

For these reasons it seems to be one of the better options for most folks – more than enough power for casual computing, video chatting and so on, but not total overkill like an M4 might end up being.

Here’s how pricing breaks down across the lineup right now:

Now available in a 13-inch model, iPad Air is supercharged by the incredibly fast Apple M2 chip. It features a stunning Liquid Retina display, a new landscape camera perfect for FaceTime and video calls, and superfast Wi-Fi 6E. And it works with the new Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard, so you can multitask, study, work, play, and create from anywhere. The gorgeous Liquid Retina display features advanced technologies like P3 wide color, True Tone, and ultralow reflectivity, which make everything look stunning.
