Just ahead of this month’s now confirmed Amazon showcase event, we are starting to see some notable deals across its hardware lineup, including the new full-color Kindle reader, the Fire TV Streaming Stick lineup from $18, and Amazon’s ANC Echo Buds at 61% off. But today we are looking towards the price drops that just landed on its latest Fire tablet release – the new Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet is now starting from $64.99 shipped. After debuting last fall with a $99 MSRP, you can now save 35% alongside some other deals across the Fire tablet lineup.

These discounts come by way of the now live Amazon device Valentine’s Day sale that includes all of the gear mentioned above, and then some.

Here’s how some of the highlight offers on the Fire tablet lineup shake out – the deals aren’t quite as low as the holiday offers last year, but they are either on par or better than the lowest we have tracked in 2025.

A complete breakdown of the new Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet awaits in our launch coverage, of course, but we will touch on some highlights right now while we are at it. Amazon has doubled the RAM count this time around alongside an upgraded 5MP rear-facing camera and better battery life – “with up to 13 hours of battery life, you can enjoy your favorite movies, shows, or games at home or on-the-go without worrying about running out of power.”

Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet features:

  • Fire HD 8 offers an 8″ HD display for seamless streaming and gaming, coupled with a 5MP rear facing camera for photos—with a thin, light, durable design.
  • Responsive with all day battery life – Includes 3GB RAM (50% more than 2022 release), 32GB of storage, and up to 1 TB of expandable storage (sold separately). Up to 13 hours of reading, browsing the web, watching videos, gaming, and listening to music at home and on-the-go.
  • Save time, get creative – Enjoy three new smart tools to help you send polished emails, quickly summarize webpages, and create unique wallpapers.
  • Stream or download your favorite shows, movies, and games (like Minecraft, Roblox, and more). Enjoy your favorite content from Facebook, Hulu, Instagram, TikTok, and more through Amazon’s Appstore (Google Play not supported. Subscription for some apps required).
  • Stay connected with family and friends – ask Alexa to make video calls to friends and family or download apps like Zoom.
