Amazon has now dropped the price on all AirPods Max (USB-C) colors down to $479.99 shipped. Regularly $549, this is $79 off the list price drop and matching the Best Buy Presidents’ Day sale offer. We did see the newer USB-C set drop to $550 for a brief time once earlier this year, but today’s deal lands within $20 on all five color options here today. The otherwise identical Lightning AirPods Max sets are now starting from $449 on Amazon, for comparison sake – we have seen these as low as $379 though.
Apple’s AirPods Max are beloved by some, and just way too expensive for others. And with that in mind, we tend to make sure all of the notable price drops that hit on them, especially those that include all of the color options, are front and center for folks to take advantage of.
While just about all of us would have hoped for an all-new set of AirPods Max 2 last September, as opposed to the upgraded USB-C charging port and fresh coats of paint, in many ways a great pair of headphones is a great pair of headphones, and many folks feel the AirPods Max are just that.
I also happen to be a fan of the over-ear design here, complete with the knit-mesh canopy, memory foam ear cushions, and a metal build.
