It’s back again folks. Amazon is once again giving us all a chance at scoring the unlocked Google Pixel 8 Pro down at $599 shipped. Regularly $999 and still sold for as much directly from Google, this is a massive $400 price drop and matching our previous mention at Amazon.
This model has regularly fetched the same $999 at Amazon over the last year but we have seen relatively frequent drops to $650 since October of 2024. We also recently saw the special mint edition model fall to $560 over at Woot for a brief time a couple weeks ago, but today’s offer is indeed matching the Amazon all-time low and the lowest we have seen across the standard coloways.
This is not the new Pixel 9 series handset, but it is still a solid option and one that comes in at a much more affordable price tag with today’s deal. For comparison’s sake, the standard Pixel 9 fetches $799 and is now on sale for $719 at Amazon. The Pixel 9 Pro, however, is regularly $999 and is currently $849 on Amazon – that’s $250 above the price of the Pixel 8 Pro deal we have here.
While not the latest and greatest Pixel device, this is still just one generation back and the pro version at that. It comes powered by the Google Tensor G3 chip that has been custom-designed for Google AI features – “cutting-edge photo and video features and smarter ways to help.” The 6.7-inch Super Actua display that “adjusts between 1 and 120Hz for responsive performance” sits alongside Pixel 8 Pro’s Adaptive Battery that can last over 24 hours – “an Extreme Battery Saver mode extending it up to 72 hours.”
