We are now tracking a deal at Amazon that drops ASUS’ ROG Strix 27-inch 4K HDR gaming monitor down to $399.99 shipped. This particular model hit the scene last year in August carrying a $500 price tag, and it has mostly been fetching its full price with just a few occasional drops. It briefly fell to the $400 mark for the first time earlier this month and today’s deal marks the return of that price with a solid $100 discount, making it a great time to strike in case you missed the previous offer which very few folks had a chance at. This discounted price matches the lowest we tracked for the same model in white earlier this year, and you can learn more about it below.

This ASUS ROG Strix monitor sports a 27-inch panel with support for a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It comes with a feature that lets you toggle between 4K resolution at a 160Hz refresh rate and Full HD (1920×1080) resolution at a 320Hz refresh rate. That makes it a great display for those who prefer playing both fast-paced competitive esports titles like Valorant or Counter-Strike 2 as well as singleplayer games with a huge emphasis on visual fidelity. This monitor uses a fast IPS panel with a 1ms response time and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and its connectivity options include HDMI, DisplayPort, and a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode for simplified connections.

If you don’t mind splurging more money, then Alienware’s 27-inch 360Hz QD-OLED monitor is down at $650 right now. It sports a QHD panel which is ideal for competitive as well as singleplayer titles just like the ASUS model featured above, and it’s down from its usual going rate of $900.

ASUS ROG Strix gaming monitor features:

  • ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB SYNC) technology enables ELMB together with variable refresh rate, eliminating ghosting and tearing for sharp gaming visuals with high frame rates
