Alienware recently added a new range of gaming monitors to its catalog, and one of the newer models is now available with a solid discount. Amazon is currently offering the best price yet on the brand’s latest AW2725QF 27-inch 4K UHD gaming monitor down at $479.99 shipped. This display hit the scene a couple of months back in December last year carrying a $590 price tag, and it’s now over $100 off. Today’s 19% markdown knocks it $20 below its previous low to land it at the lowest price we have tracked for it. The same model is currently going for $500 directly at Dell, and you can learn more about it below.

This new Alienware gaming monitor is similar to ASUS’ ROG Strix 27-inch 4K model that lets you switch between 4K and FHD resolution. Alienware’s latest unit lets you game at either 4K 180Hz or FHD 360Hz with its “Dual Resolution” feature, making it ideal for both fast-paced competitive titles as well as high-fidelity singleplayer games that are best played at crisp resolutions to enjoy finer details. It sports an IPS panel with a 0.5ms GTG response time and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and it also offers a good selection of ports including a USB 3.2 Gen1 port, two HDMI 2.1, and more. Some other highlights of this NVIDIA G-Sync compatible monitor include support for AlienFX lighting, a sleek design with minimal bezels, a retractable headset hanger, and more.

If you’re looking for alternatives and don’t mind splurging, then Samsung’s Odyssey Ark 2nd gen 55-inch 4K gaming monitor is currently going for $1,520. This one comes with all the bells and whistles including a KVM switch, and it’s down from its original price of $3,000 right now.
