Amazon is offering ASUS’ ROG Strix 27-inch QHD USB-C Gaming Monitor down at $199 shipped. Though this model carries a sticker price of $269, it has fetched as much as $299 in recent months. Today’s deal delivers a straight-up $100 discount on its usual going rate, landing within $10 of its previous all-time low. This model, as previously mentioned, is essentially the QHD version of the FHD ROG Strix monitor that’s down at $299. It sports a 27-inch panel with support for a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It’s a Fast IPS panel that tops out at a 180Hz refresh rate and has a 1ms response time, and it also supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync for a tear-free gaming experience. A 27-inch display marks the sweet spot for QHD resolution, and this is worth considering if you’re looking to upgrade from a smaller or a lower-res gaming monitor.
