One-year of Walmart+ is now 50% off for returning customers – early access to deals and maybe even Switch 2 pre-orders

Walmart+ offers a ton of notable benefits for members, not the least of which is first dibs on new releases (like gaming consoles, and perhaps even Switch 2 once it goes live) as well as Black Friday deals – Walmart often times gives it members a full 4-hour head start on deals before anyone else can buy them. We know a lot of folks simply opted in for the 50% off deal on Walmart+ ahead of black Friday last year to take advantage of all this, but reports suggest it is now offering the same 50% deal to returning/expired Walmart+ accounts right now. Details below. 

Walmart+ is 50% off for returning customers

This deal is only for returning/expired accounts, so let’s get that on the table first. That said, if you are among the folks that allowed the regularly $98 per year subscription to lapse after taking advantage of the benefits over the holidays last year, you’re account might be eligible for a one year renewal at 50% off…that’s $49 instead of $98 and it will take you right through until 2026 while allowing you to take advantage of its benefits through Black Friday/holiday 2025, never mind the potential implications this might have on Switch 2 pre-orders (if they ever go live…ugh). 

All of that said, if you do have an expired Walmart+ account, it is very much worth a shot – go login and see if the offer is being offered to you as there are loads of folks that are seeing this discounted opportunity right now. 

This promotion is more than likely something to promote its upcoming Walmart+ Week offers that, as of right now, look as though they will begin later this month on April 28 – we will have more details on this event soon. 

Here’s what you need to do to check if you’re account is eligible for the Walmart+ discount:

1. Head over to Walmart and log in to an account that your now expired Walmart+ membership was connected to and watch out for a pop-up promoting the  Walmart+ renewal down at $49
2. Or hit up the Walmart+ sign-up page once logged in
3. This offer is only available until May 4, 2025, so do it soon if you’re intersted. 
4.  Then hit “Claim offer now” to sign up at a discount.
