For today only, as part of its Deals of the Day, Best Buy is offering series of deals on Geek Squad refurbished headphones and you’ll find the latest AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation in there down at $84.99 shipped. Regularly $179, this is a sizable $95 off the list price on Apple’s latest ANC buds.

Currently on sale for $169 at Amazon where they haven’t dropped below $149 in brand new condition all year. In fact, only once have we seen them go for any less there, and that was a short-lived 3-day deal in early December 2024.

While we tend to stray away from just any old refurbished deal you can find out here, and especially on headphones, there are a few reputable sources for deals on renewed headphones and earbuds – the official Bose re-certified program and the Best Buy Geek Squad offers being two of them.

Geek Squad Certified Refurbished products are “thoroughly, painstakingly and lovingly tested, so you can be sure that your device will work right, right away.” Today’s discounted units ship with the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, “Charging Case (USB-C) with speaker, Documentation, (USB-C Charge Cable sold separately) with 90 Days warranty.”

Some folks just might not be comfortable with refurbished earbuds and we get it, but we are also talking about a giant $95 in savings here. Considering the AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation have never dropped below $139 at Amazon, and have only fallen that low once since release last fall, this is a deal that should at least be on your radar.

Seeing the AirPods 4 with ANC drop anywhere near $129 or $119 in brand-new condition at some point this year – this is roughly where we expect to see them land for Prime Day and Black Friday later in 2025 – would be entirely notable and the lowest new price ever. But seeing them drop below $100 in new condition is beyond reason – it could happen but it almost certainly will not. And $85 brand-new…basically no chance.

Apple AirPods 4 features:

  • REBUILT FOR COMFORT—AirPods 4 have been redesigned for exceptional all-day comfort and greater stability. With a refined contour, shorter stem, and quick-press controls for music or calls.
  • ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION—AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation help reduce outside noise before it reaches your ears, so you can immerse yourself in what you’re listening to.
  • HEAR THE WORLD AROUND YOU—The powerful H2 chip comes to AirPods 4. Adaptive Audio seamlessly blends Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode—which lets you comfortably hear and interact with the world around you exactly as it sounds—to provide the best listening experience in any environment.¹ And when you’re speaking with someone nearby, Conversation Awareness automatically lowers the volume of what’s playing.³
  • IMPROVED SOUND AND CALL QUALITY—Voice Isolation improves the quality of calls in loud conditions.³ Using advanced computational audio, it reduces background noise while isolating and clarifying the sound of your voice for whoever you’re speaking to.
  • MAGICAL EXPERIENCE—Just say “Siri” or “Hey Siri” to play a song, make a call, or check your schedule. And with Siri Interactions, now you can respond to Siri by simply nodding your head yes or shaking your head no. Pair AirPods 4 by simply placing them near your device and tapping Connect on your screen. Easily share a song or show between two sets of AirPods.
