As part of its now live early Memorial Day sale, Amazon is offering ASUS’ Vivobook 16 laptop down at $649.99 shipped. This is a fairly new model that hit the scene earlier this year carrying Qualcomm’s updated Snapdragon X Plus chip. It has lately been sitting at the $800 mark at Amazon, and today’s deal takes $150 off that price to mark the lowest price we have tracked for it to date. The same laptop with a 14-inch display is also at $649.99 shipped right now, down from its usual price of $750. These are great for folks looking to pick up some reliable everyday laptops, and you can learn more about them below.
The ASUS Vivobook 16 is one of the newer laptops powered by Qualcomm’s updated Snapdragon X Plus chip that debuted earlier this year at CES. It’s an octa-core chip that includes a dedicated NPU capable of 45 TOPS to support Microsoft Copilot and other AI-driven tasks. The version on sale today offers 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 16-inch WUXGA display. Both 14-inch and 16-inch models have a thin and light chassis that measures 0.7-inch thickness, and some of their other highlights include a full-sized keyboard, long-lasting battery life of up to 19 hours on a single charge, an IR camera, and a good selection of ports including two Type-C ports and an HDMI.
Folks looking for something a bit more affordable can consider Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slim 5 laptop for $430. This one comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, and it’s down from its usual price of $790.
