Amazon has now dropped Apple’s AirTag back down to its best price of the year at $22.98 with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $35. This deal is also joined by a price drop on the 4-pack down at $74.99 shipped – this is nearly 25% off the regular $99 list and the lowest price we have tracked in a few months at Amazon.
Today’s deals aren’t quite as notable as the all-time lows we featured over Black Friday and the holiday season at the tail end of the last year, but we are looking at a price as low as $18.75 per tag here on the 4-pack – that’s within roughly $2 of the lowest ever.
It should also be said that we are likely on the precipice of the AirTag gen 2 release. Courtesy of our extensive reporting over at 9to5Mac, Apple is likely readying a brand new model that is expected to release quite soon. It appears as though the new model will be much of the same in terms of appearance but with some key enhancements on the tech side of things:
- 3x range
- A new wireless chip
- A stronger focus on privacy/security
We are yet to get any particularly reliable or hard data on pricing, but chances are the new model won’t release much higher than the $29 and $99 MSRPs on the current generation – we wouldn’t blame you for holding off until the next-gen releases, just don’t expect to see deals like we have here today on the current model anytime soon.
Apple AirTag features:
- Keep track of and find your items alongside friends and devices in the Find My app
- Simple one-tap setup instantly connects AirTag with your iPhone or iPad
- Play a sound on the built-in speaker to help find your things, or just ask Siri for help
- Precision Finding with Ultra Wideband technology leads you right to your nearby AirTag (on select iPhone models)
- Find items further away with the help of hundreds of millions of Apple devices in the Find My network
- Put AirTag into Lost Mode to be automatically notified when it’s detected in the Find My network
