For more than a few years, ecobee has remained one of the go-to smart thermostat solutions for folks invested in the Apple HomeKit smart home platform. It has also been quite pricey to land one of its lauded smart thermostat solutions, but earlier this year it released its most affordable model yet with the new 2025 ecobee Smart Thermostat Essential, and we just spotted it down at the $104 shipped Amazon all-time low. 

While the new Essential model isn’t quite as high-end as the metal-wrapped Premium model, you can now score it down at $104 shipped, which is 20% off its list price and well under the $240+ the premium package fetches. This is a new all-time low at $10 under our previous mention. 

While our full hands-on review delivers all of the details on the Essential model, the main difference between it and the more pricey variant is the more flashy metal strapping around the unit and the smaller 2.8-inch touchscreen without the included SmartSensor or Air Quality Monitor.
