Remember wired earbuds? Remember those wired Apple buds you used to get for FREE in the box? Just about nobody needs these things anymore considering how affordable a pair of wireless buds are these days, but if you’re looking to land what will soon be a piece of Apple history, a relic of Cupertino’s first foray into taking over the world’s earbud market, Amazon is now offering the latest USB-C Apple EarPods down at $15.99 with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $35. 

The USB-C set first landed on Amazon about a year ago at $19 and they are now down at the Amazon all-time low for the second time since. 

I’m really not sure why anyone would need these, I certainly don’t, but we are talking about a pair of pods that can connect right into your modern iPhone’s USB-C port, that never run out of battery power, and cost a tiny fraction of the most affordable current-generation AirPods. That’s still not enough for me to even bother sticking them in my cart, but if you’re an Apple collector, there will come a day when these are all but lost forever, and I guess there’s someone out there that still finds a way to put wired buds to use?
