As part of its now live early Prime Day sale, and joining a series of the best prices of the year on other gear you’ll find highlighted below, Amazon is now offering the lowest price to date on its latest flagship Kindle Scribe reader-meets-tablet. Regularly starting at $400, you can land one down at $259.99 shipped alongside 3 months of Kindle Unlimited book access for FREE. Details below.

Early Prime Day Kindle Scribe deals

All three of the storage configurations on the Kindle Scribe you’ll find below are now at new Amazon all-time lows with deals at $40 under the previous best prices:

All three of those deals also come with 3-months of Kindle Unlimited book access for FREE and, while this isn’t a particularly new add-on offer, when combined with the new all-time low prices it just sweetens the deal. Just watch out for the “With 3 month of Kindle Unlimited” offer option on the listing (you’ll see it just below the color options), as the price for these tablets is the same whether you choose it or not.

There was also a time when we saw an additional $40 off with the purchase of two Kindle Scribes, but even those deals don’t beat the Prime member-only Prime Day offers we are tracking today.

You are looking at the latest Kindle Scribe here – Amazon’s flagship reader that also delivers on some tablet-like functionality. It debuted last fall with an an included Premium Pen that “feels like writing on paper” and a 10.2-inch glare-free, 300 ppi front-lit display.

It works and functions just like any Kindle reader, but you can also doodle on the screen, take notes in the margins, make lists, journal entries, and more. Our launch coverage details the experience further.
