Amazon now offering big-time $500 price drop on unlocked Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, as I’m sure you know by now, did release at the top of the year and has been a popular pickup among 9to5Toys readers. But for those who just don’t care about or even need the latest and greatest from Samsung, Amazon is now offering a deep straight up cash discount on unlocked 256GB Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones right now at $849.99 shipped – that’s $450 off the $1,300 list price. 

While we did catch a very short-lived deal on select colors at Best Buy last month at $500 off, that deal came and went very quickly and the listing is now sitting back up at the full $1,300 right now. Amazon is, however, landing with one of the best prices it has ever offered on this handset with a nearly as impressive $450 in savings off the sticker price – this includes the Titanium Gray, Black, and Yellow models.  

How does this deal stack up to pricing on the newer S25 Ultra though? A 256GB S25 Ultra carries a list price at $1,420 directly from Samsung where you can score $300 off to land one down at $1,120 shipped. That’s not a bad deal at all for the latest model in any of the seven colors Samsung offers it for, but we are still talking about $270 more than the Amazon price on the unlocked S24 Ultra we have here today. 

For further comparison, Amazon’s best price on a 256GB S25 Ultra lands at the same $1,120 shipped Samsung is offering right now. 

Much like we said last go around, a previous-gen smartphone is really not something that will pique everyone’s interest, but considering this was arguably the very best Android phone on the planet at this time last year (really not much more than 6 months ago), the deep $450 price drop straight from Amazon should be on the radar of anyone who is looking to save some serious cash on what is still a compelling last-gen flagship smartphone experience.
