Samsung unleashed a bunch of new gaming monitors last month, and one of them is already discounted. Amazon is currently offering the brand’s new 40-inch Odyssey G7 180Hz gaming monitor for $1,019.99 shipped, down from its original $1,200 launch price. That’s a $180 savings and the lowest price we’ve seen so far. It’s been holding steady at full price since debuting last month, making today’s deal the first notable drop. This Samsung Odyssey gaming monitor debuted alongside its 37-inch 4K UHD counterpart as one of the newest models in the brand’s G7 lineup. It sports a 40-inch ultra-wide 21:9 curved screen that goes up to a WUHD resolution (5,120 x 2,160) and 180Hz refresh rate, and it’s also a VESA DisplayHDR 600 and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro-certified panel with 1ms GtG response time. This new G7 gaming monitor retains many of the popular features from previous models, including Auto Source Switch+ for instant input detection, CoreSync and CoreLighting+ for immersive rear lighting effects, and more.
