8BitDo’s updated Nintendo 64-style controller – which only hit the market last month after being unveiled alongside the Analogue 3D last year – is already seeing a sizable discount down at $27.69 Prime shipped. Folks without a membership can dodge the shipping fee by checking out with items worth over $35 in the cart. That’s a straight-up 31% discount, which shaves $12 off its usual going rate. It’s available in black and white colors, but only the white one has hit the $27.50 low today – the black one is still fetching its full $40 price. It’s one of the more affordable 8BitDo controllers out there, which is fully compatible with the Switch 2, and you can learn more about it in detail below.

This updated Nintendo 64-inspired model, unlike the original one with an unusual three-prong design, has a more traditional layout. It still lets you have all the same buttons as the original model with a single joystick. It’s a Hall effect stick that won’t develop stick drift over time, and it’s paired with matching Hall effect shoulder buttons as well. This model is compatible with both the original Switch and the newer Switch 2, and you can even use it with Windows and Android devices via Bluetooth or a USB cable. Other highlights of this gamepad include a signature concave rubber joystick cap, a mode switch toggle, an included USB cable, and more.

You’ll find more gamepads from 8BitDo and other brands discounted as part of Woot’s ongoing video game sale with up to 84% off. Alternatively, you can also checkout NZXT’s Function 2 MiniTKL while it’s down at $55, if you prefer a mouse-and-keyboard setup for gaming.

8BitDo Nintendo 64 wireless controller features:

  • Compatible with Analogue 3D, Switch, Switch 2, Windows, and Android. (Switch 2 compatibility requires latest firmware update)
  • Bluetooth or Wired USB connection
  • D-input and S-input modes
  • Vibration supported on Analogue 3D and Switch 1/2 (Nintendo 64 Online only)
  • Turbo function
  • Hall Effect joystick and wear-resistant metal joystick ring
