We have started to see some notable M4 and M4 Pro MacBook Pro deals popping up since Apple debuted its new M5 machines. And over at Best Buy right now, you can land an “excellent” condition 14-inch M4 Pro with a 1-year Apple warranty at nearly $500 off the list price.

Best Buy’s open-box program is now offering the 14-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 24GB of RAM and the upgraded 1TB of storage down at $1,918.99 shipped. This is an “excellent” condition machine in Space Black at $480 under the $2,399 list price. It “works and looks like new” and ships with a 1-year Apple warranty.

  • Includes all parts and accessories. Packaging may vary or be absent.
  • 1-year warranty

We get it – this is still an open-box MacBook at nearly $2,000 and one that is likely (definitely going) to get replaced by the new M5 Pro sooner than not (it might not be until next year at this point). But we are also talking about a current-generation MacBook Pro at nearly $500 off here as well.

Currently selling for over $2,100 at Amazon in brand new condition, and mostly recently hovering in the $2,130 range, we have only seen this model drop below $2,099 there twice all-time, and those were extremely short-lived offers at closer to $2,080 and $2,075  today’s deal is still more than $150 under the best price we have ever tracked on Amazon.

We certainly wouldn’t be mad at anyone for holding out for the M5 Pro chip – it will happen at some point, but you’re going to be waiting the better part of year to see anything as low as we have here today if history (this current-generation) is any indication.

M4 Pro MacBook Pro features:

The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips gives you outrageous performance in a powerhouse laptop built for Apple Intelligence. With up to 22 hours of battery life and a breathtaking Liquid Retina XDR display with up to 1600 nits peak brightness, it’s pro in every way.
