Early details on upcoming Black Friday sales are starting to surface, first with Best Buy laying out its entire holiday schedule leading right up to the main event (it starts on October 31) and next with an early look in the Sam’s Club Black Friday doorbuster ad, and now it’s time to look ahead towards the Amazon Black Friday 2025 sale event.
Looking ahead – Amazon Black Friday 2025
Amazon has now taken to its official newsroom with some very early information on its Black Friday event. But short of some details we basically already know and some key art, there’s not much to go on here just yet.
That said, with official details already available from other major retailers and well over a decade of experience covering these events at Amazon, we can provide some insights about its upcoming Black Friday sale event.
Black Friday is the biggest shopping and deal event of the year. It by and large even beats out Amazon’s massive Prime Day events and, while those do as well these days, finds it way onto every major retailer’s site and then some.
This year Black Friday will land on November 28, but the official deals almost always start on Thanksgiving, which is on November 27 this year, and we already know deals will be starting well before that in 2025.
Last year, Amazon announced that its official Black Friday sale would start on November 21, a full week before the main event, and considering Best Buy has already announced its Black Friday sale will start on November 20 this year, we are very much expecting Amazon to do the same in 2025.
Early Doorbusters
As you likely already know by now, Amazon loves to price match and sometimes even slightly undercut the special deals Best Buy offers, especially on big name tech. This happens through out the year, and will for Black Friday 2025. This means that while we are expecting Amazon’s official Black Friday sale to start one week before the main event in and around November 20, 2025, chances are we will be seeing major deals well before that, and potentially even by the end of this month.
Best Buy has officially announced that it will be launching a new set of Black Friday Doorbusters every single Friday starting on October 31 and continuing right through November until Black Friday proper. This will likely ramp up with better and better deals (or rather, more sought after products) as we get closer to the main event, but you can bet on Amazon price matching just about all of the deals the second they go live at Best Buy (if not within minutes).
Daily Amazon Black Friday deals
Typically speaking some of the trends we see as part of Amazon’s Prime Day sales throughout the year tend to make their way into its Black Friday event. This is usually the case and we are expecting it again this year. That means you can expect it to inject its offerings with early deals on its in house tech – Echo gear, Ring and Blink smart home, Fire TV, Fire tablets, and so on. These deals might very well begin even before the expected November 20 start time.
But one new thing it introduced this year for Prime Day was its “Today’s Big Deals” section on its home page. This drivers a series of new discounts on a wide array of products at key times throughout the sale – 12 a.m., 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PT. While there’s no way to know just yet if Amazon will indeed be running a similar setup for Black Friday, it would not be at all surprising to see its daily deals setup makes its way into the Black Friday event and these might very well kick off on November 20 as well. There is, of course, also a chance that it will only run these timed new offers just on Thanksgiving, Black Friday itself, and Cyber Monday too.
