As part of its now live early Black Friday deals, Best Buy is offering one of Alienware’s Aurora 16X RTX 5070 gaming laptops for $1,699.99 shipped. This 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD configuration usually sells for $2,100, but it’s currently down by a solid $400. It dropped a touch lower as part of a short-lived Holiday Sale deal at Dell last month, and today’s deal at Best Buy lands it within $50 of that price. Dell has other configs of this notebook on sale right now, but this one’s fetching its full price there at $2,100. It’s a good option to pick if you’re looking to buy a new gaming laptop with more memory and storage headroom than what the base variants offer, and you can learn more about it in detail below.
The Aurora 16X laptop, in case you’re wondering, is Alienware’s higher-end 2025 model with more powerful and modern components, a superior display, and better build quality compared to the Aurora 16 units. The unit in the spotlight today sports a 240Hz 16-inch WQXGA G-Sync-compatible panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage. It’s also powered by some of the best internals, including Intel’s Ultra 9 275HX 24-core processor, 32GB RAM, and 2TB SSD. The graphics are handled by an RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB VRAM, which is the most powerful one you can get inside this laptop, as the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 are reserved for Alienware’s Area-51 models. This one’s no slouch either, and it includes an AlienFX RGB keyboard along with a solid port selection – two USB-C ports (one with Thunderbolt 4), two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet, and a headset jack.
If you’re looking for alternatives and don’t mind picking up a notebook from another brand, MSI’s Vector 16 model with an RTX 5070 Ti is down at $1,299. This one is powered by a 16-core Ryzen 9 8940HX processor and is down $701 from its usual price of $2,000.
