Score a deal on your New Year’s Eve Uber rides, these gift cards are 15% off

It’s New Year’s Eve and that likely means you (and about a million other folks) are going to be flagging down an Uber ride or two tonight. Except you won’t be paying full price for yours like they will because you will have flipped some cash for a discounted gift card beforehand with this deal from Best Buy

How to get a deal on your New Year’s Eve Uber rides

Best Buy is now offering $100 Uber gift cards at 15% off. That means you can secure yourself $100 in Uber rides (or food deliveries) for $85 with free digital delivery. And if you do this early enough in the day, you’ll receive the credit with plenty of time to spare to bring the cost of your rides down.

Available soon after purchase. Redemption information is emailed and available in your Order Details. Redeem in US only. Non-returnable.

While it, of course, depends on where you are tonight and what time you call for your rides, but you might very well get hit with some some of those (not so) lovely NYE Uber surge prices – I’m not sure how things work where you are but these things are generally always more pricey tonight than usual. And if, like many folks, you’ll be taking at least a couple rides tonight to and fro, spending close to $100 on them certainly isn’t out of the question and landing the discounted credit ahead of time might very well soften the blow.

The credit certainly won’t go to waste either way as Uber gift cards also work with Uber Eats, so you can also leverage the discounted credit on some post-midnight grub or something to get the celebrations started earlier in the night (or to recover from it tomorrow).

Be safe and party hard (without spending full price to do it).

Uber gift card features:

Gift Uber rides to the people you care about, or add value to your Uber account. The Uber app connects you to a reliable ride in minutes. From low-cost to premium, every option feels like an upgrade to the everyday. And payment is automatic—no cash, no card, no hassle.
